Biography of Zaria Forman

Zaria Forman is an American artist and marine specialist whose works resemble photographs rather than paintings at first glance. The incredible precision and realism of her work is awe-inspiring, but there is also a deep inner meaning hidden within these paintings. Forman speaks to the world about where people can lead themselves through their own carelessness. She began drawing inspiration for her paintings from her surroundings at an early age. As her family traveled the world, Forman had the opportunity to witness a variety of unusual landscapes. Her mother was a photographer, and Forman herself became acquainted with the wonders of the world. She later received formal education at Skidmore College and became an artist herself. Currently, Forman successfully exhibits her works in galleries and exhibition halls both in the United States and abroad.

In addition to her exhibitions, Forman has completed a series of paintings that served as set designs for the classical ballet 'Giselle.' The new set designs were showcased at the Grand Theatre in Geneva, Switzerland in October 2012. Ten of Forman's works were also featured in the popular television series 'House of Cards,' directed by David Fincher and starring Kevin Spacey.

In August 2012, Forman led the 'Chasing the Light' project, which involved an expedition to the northwest coast of Greenland. This expedition aimed to replicate the journey made by American artist William Bradford in 1869, capturing the rapidly changing Arctic landscape. Forman's personal motivation for this expedition was to fulfill her late mother's dream of visiting Greenland. The resulting series of magnificent works depicted towering ice peaks and crystal clear waters, providing a new and interesting perspective on the ever-changing face of Greenland and drawing attention to the serious issues it faces.

Forman's art serves as a reminder of the importance of carefully monitoring and analyzing the consequences of our actions, as the contours of Greenland's ice demonstrate both solidity and graceful flexibility. She actively sponsors various environmental organizations and funds, regularly donating a portion of her income to support environmental protection. Forman believes that art is an excellent tool for understanding any crisis, allowing us to better comprehend the current state of affairs and perhaps discover hidden solutions.

Of the four elements, water holds a special place in Forman's heart. She has long been fascinated by water and has gained extensive knowledge about its behavior in different states. Forman skillfully reflects this understanding of light passing through water and ice on her paintings. Snow and ice, ocean depths, and majestic icebergs are all forms of water that she portrays with great accuracy, rivaling photographic images. Forman's dedication to her craft is evident, as she devotes time and effort to each piece of work, sometimes spending up to a month on a single painting.

Zaria Forman, the singer of the water element, uses her art to educate people about the power they unwittingly play with and how their actions can erase what they cherish most. Whether her messages reach their intended audience remains uncertain, but Forman shows no signs of stopping.
